Following Rene’s Original Recipe using Sheep Sorrel Roots

Years ago Rene Caisse developed a Essiac (ess-ee-ak) tea using a specific ingredient; Sheep Sorrel Root. This root is an ingredient that is essential to brewing the most potent and effective tea, but that unfortunately is left out of most of the Essiac made today. The herb Sheep Sorrel is a standard ingredient in almost all Essiac recipes, however it's almost always the above ground grown parts - the aerial parts - leaving the roots themselves out. Today we at RCTC strive to include this much needed ingredient in all our Essiac products, just as Canadian nurse Rene Caisse did.

Sheep Sorrel roots are expensive and labor intensive to grow and to harvest, making them difficult to access commercially. Because it is not a common crop it then becomes even more important to grow it yourself as a company selling Essiac to ensure it is consciously grown and harvested. We are a Canadian distributor of Blue Moon Herbs, who grows the sheep sorrel on site, organically. We strive to ensure all of our ingredients are of the highest quality, grown pesticide free and that all ingredients are harvested in an earth conscious way.

Victor Cronin

Legacy

Our Uncle Victor: The beginning of a life’s mission ~ Carrying on a Legacy

In loving memory of Victor Cronin (Aug 16 1947 - Oct 26 2020)

In 2016 Victor Cronin founded Rene Caisse Tea Canada. After his passing, his nieces, Cory, Katrinne and Sandra (in Ireland) are carrying on his legacy by continuing his devoted works.

Upon the realization that most Essiac mixtures on the market today do NOT include what is considered by many to be the most important ingredient, Victor embarked on a mission to educate the public on the benefits of the Sheep Sorrel Root, regardless of whether or not they bought his products. Victor made it a part of his everyday goal to honour the many sacrifices Rene Cassie had to make to ensure that the tea did not end up in the hands of greedy corporate power players. In honor of Rene, Victor worked for as long as he could to ensure that this tea continues to be readily available to those who rely on it for help.

It is the proud commitment of his nieces to carry on their uncle’s legacy of kindness and service in his honour.
